About xIMENA MARIN GUTIERREZ, MSW
Your partner in healing.
I specialize in supporting BIPOC women, couples, and families—particularly mothers and adult daughters—as well as immigrants seeking healing and growth.
I am a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, with a Master’s in Social Work from Howard University. My professional experience includes trauma-informed research, supporting survivors of trauma, and providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. I use a compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally informed approach to create a safe and empowering space for clients to thrive. I am currently a supervisee in social work under the supervision of Kelsey Wilson, LCSW, LICSW.
As an immigrant myself, I understand the challenges of cultural adjustment, life transitions, and settling into a new chapter somewhere new. My personal experiences shape my approach as a therapist, strengthen my commitment to helping others navigate change, identity shifts, and cross-cultural experiences with confidence and compassion. In my free time, I love traveling, exploring new places, and hiking. I’m currently studying Portuguese on Duolingo and learning to bake!
