RECONNECT AGAIN
Mother Adult Daughter Therapy in Virginia
Hi, Hola! My name is Ximena Marin Gutierrez MSW. I help mothers and adult daughters improve communication, repair trust, and move through challenges with greater connection.
I work with mothers and adult daughters across Virginia who want to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and build healthier ways of communicating and relating to one another.
Therapy can be a space to say the things that feel hard to say elsewhere—and to learn how to listen in new ways. The goal isn’t to decide who’s “right,” but to create understanding, emotional safety, and a path forward that honors both people.
Mothers and daughters seek therapy with me to address:
Ongoing tension, arguments, or communication breakdowns
Emotional distance, resentment, or feeling misunderstood
Difficulty navigating boundaries, independence, or changing roles
Healing from past relational or generational wounds
Rebuilding trust after conflict
Life transitions such as adulthood, caregiving, or major changes
What It’s Like to Work Together
I offer virtual therapy for mothers and daughters in Virginia who want to feel more understood, connected, and at ease in their relationship. Our work together is thoughtful, collaborative, and centered on honoring each person’s story, needs, and boundaries.
You don’t have to be in crisis to start therapy. If conversations feel tense, distant, or stuck—or if you’re noticing patterns that no longer feel healthy—that’s more than enough reason to reach out. Therapy can also be a proactive space to strengthen communication, navigate changing roles, and build a more supportive relationship moving forward. Services are available in English or in Spanish.
If you’re hoping to move toward greater understanding, trust, and connection, mother–daughter therapy can offer a meaningful path forward.
